Greetings Golfers of Crane Creek!
What a difference a day makes. Last Saturday we played golf. Not in shorts like others, but it was a great day to play. By Sunday the rain and temperatures were falling. Winter is on the way. Sunday, November 22nd will be the official last day of play for the 2009 season. A re-opening date has not been set but it is our intention that once the forecasts and conditions are favorable for golf, the doors will once again be open.
Now what if it's nice after November 22? If we would have abnormally warm temperatures (60 degrees or above) and our course conditions are playable, we may open. Plans to open will be posted on our website and updated on our answering machine. We will try to make and post the decision 48 hours in advance.
Many of you have been asking - - What are the rates going to be in 2010? The daily greens fees will remain virtually the same as 2009. A few minor changes will be made and posted to the website before the end of this year.

WINTER HOURS of operation -
Chris will be at the clubhouse every Friday and Saturday until Christmas from 9 AM until 1 PM for your shopping needs. We still have shoes, balls, gloves and those handy GIFT CARDS.

All in all, we believe 2009 was a great year. Outside of a few weeks in June, the temperatures stayed cool. We lost a several days to rain but plenty of golf was played. Work was begun on cart paths and it is our hope that by the end of 2010 all our problem paths will be addressed and the paths will be completed. This is a significant investment and your patience is appreciated. We did receive several complaints throughout the year. One being unfixed ball marks. We have watched countless of you fix your marks and then repair those someone else left behind. A big tip of the cap and sincere THANKS to you.
The biggest complaint heard in 2009 and rightfully so - was POOR PACE OF PLAY. There were days with 5+ hour rounds and WE failed you. There is NO excuse for slow play. No one likes 5-6 hour rounds of golf. In 2010 we are launching a new program to be known as PRIME TIME PLAYERS. With Weekend/Holidays before 11:00 AM tee times expanded to 9 minutes, no fivesomes and a higher level of monitoring play we will GUARANTEE rounds of 4 hours 15 minutes OR LESS. Spreading the tee times and additional monitoring of play comes with some expense to us, but we want to make golf even MORE special for you at Crane Creek. Details are still being worked out and will be available soon on our website.
New for 2010 in the Pro Shop -
We are anticipating some nice changes for 2010 at Crane Creek. Logo caps and shirts will be more readily available and nicely priced for our guests. Our shoe selection next year is expanding with some exciting styles by Foot-Joy, Nike and Adidas. We are working with Taylor Made, Nike, Cleveland and Callaway to provide more club fitting to help you score better at prices the big guys can't beat. Video lessons will be provided in 2010, also by our PGA professional Chris Bivens.

We will lock the doors for the winter as of close of business, Sunday 11/22/09.
